I'm a graduate vet from the west of Ireland. I grew up on a farm and initially studied at NUI Galway, completed my first degree In Occupational Therapy- Qualified in 2011 and then worked in mental health as a paediatric occupational therapist for two and a half years.
I've always wanted to be a vet since I was a young girl (brought home every stray kitten, injured hedgehog, rabbit etc!) I decided to return to education to pursue a career in veterinary medicine in 2013 and graduated from UCD in June 2018.
I have a particular interest in small animals and equine. I have my own horse back in Ireland called Ali, - I enjoy hacking her out in my spare time. I also have a Labrador called George and a rescue kitten called Goose - they currently live at home with my parents.
During my studies, I got to travel to Zanzibar/Tanzania where I spent a month volunteering at an animal shelter in the trap-neuter release programme.
I enjoy swimming, going to the gym, yoga, travelling and spending time with my friends and family. This is my first time working and living in the UK! Loving the sites of Surrey so far.
