Pet Passports

Planning to take your pet abroad?

We are delighted to be able to offer our clients a Pet Passport issuing service. We have a number of suitably qualified vets who are authorised to issue pet passports.

For full details on passport requirements please visit  https://www.gov.uk/take-pet-abroad

You can enter or return to the UK with your pet cat, dog or ferret if they have the following:

A microchip (by law all dogs should already have one).

Rabies vaccination that has been administered at least 21 days prior travel. Regular boosters are then required to keep the passport valid.

Tapeworm treatment administered by a vet 24 to 120 hours before re-entering the UK (dogs only). The vet who has administered the treatment must sign your pets passport to confirm this has been done.

When travelling from some countries there are slightly different requirements for returning to the UK. Always check the latest government information about travelling with your pet prior to your trip.
